Okay, let's try this again -- this time with feeling!
Tuesday afternoon, let's go for 2:00 for the sake of you late sleepers out there. I vote that we meet at Damma's Bakery. It's on 30, where Vinnie's Chicago Subs used to be, next to Shorty's Market and Javalation (I think those are the right names . . .). They're open until 3:30, they sell coffee (Though I've never tried their joe, so it might be awful), and they have the tastiest pastries I've had in a long time.
Who's with me?

I'm with ya.
ReplyDeleteAye aye, cap'n.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to you anyway? Was there a terrible misconception as to the when/where of the meeting? Kyle and I were there, and Tia called me ahead of time to say she got called into work.
ReplyDeleteOops -- sorry. I should have called you back, I know. I thought posting a comment on here would be enough, but in retrospect, that's pretty goddamned stupid.
ReplyDeleteI really didn't want to see people on Tuesday. It happens sometimes. More during the school year, but my summertime is when I get my solitude on, and get myself mentally and emotionally prepared to deal with hundreds and hundreds of annoying people. So I was feeling far too anti-social to meet and discuss philosophy. I will also admit a little uneasiness with reading Plato; feels a lot like homework, and I don't want to be teaching right now. But we'll meet and discuss and all will be fine, I know.
I am sorry I left you guys hanging.
